My new favorite Uncle Beef and my two cousins all had a belated birthday celebration for our Birthday’s in April. What a exciting day it was…
Behind a small green door that looks like nothing out of the ordinary hides a secret club, away from the hustle and bustle of the Disney crowds. A place to escape to where Walt Disney himself made a place to entertain his most important guest. Once you press a hidden button next to the door and check in, you enter the main room to a french lift that whisks the VIP guests up to the posh private club with two different dining rooms.
The Trophy room with hidden microphones in the chandeliers has a bird that was once going to be wired so it could interact with guest as they ate and chat with them. The plans fell through but the microphones and bird are still there. This room was not as good as the 2nd dining room where we wined and dined our famished Disney souls. The food was cooked to perfection and my rack of lamb was excellent. The 2nd room is more elegant and formal with original artwork covering the walls from pirates ride and concept art for the Haunted Mansion. Our table overlooked the Rivers of America. After dinner we stepped out onto the veranda and enjoyed the view of the river and the fresh air as we people watched from above. We ended with espresso drinks and dessert. The inside quote from club 33 is “I LOVE SODA”. I LOVE SODA! On the way out we looked at the merchandise and my uncle got us club 33 pins that we flashed and sported throughout the park with pride for the rest of our stay.
